Jane Lowden is a partner of the firm. Her clients include Large Private and SME businesses. She provides a range of services including audit, accountancy and corporate finance. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
She has a wide range of expertise across audit and accountancy, including the audit of foreign owned subsidiaries and the preparation of consolidated financial statements. She has experience of reporting under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP.
Her experience covers a broad span of sectors, including healthcare, treasury consultancy, tourism & hospitality and biotechnology. She has experience in reporting to the Solicitors Regulation Authority and is also qualified under the ATOL reporting accountants scheme.
Recently, she assisted one of the firm’s clients with their migration from an AIM listing to a listing on the OTC Bulletin Board in the US. This involved the translation of the group’s financial statements from inception into US GAAP, together with assisting in the preparation of key SEC filings. She has also assisted a number of clients in their transition to FRS 102. Additionally, she has been involved in providing due diligence relating to a number of commercial transactions.
Jane is responsible for the training and development aspects of the firm’s staff who are currently working towards their ACA qualification. This ensures staff throughout the firm have the knowledge and practical experience to produce work of the highest quality.
Jane became a Smith Riches partner in 2014 having previously trained with the firm. In 2003 she was awarded the Chris Reay Memorial Prize by the London Society of Chartered Accountants for success in her examinations. She has a degree in mathematics from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.
